We live in a 4 bed dormer with 2 bathrooms upstairs and have suffered with leaks in both showers for years.  After a lot of research, we decided to bite the bullet and rip out the showers and install Neptune shower enclosures.  Initially when we looked at the cost of a pod, we thought they were expensive, but if you factor in that once it's installed that’s it.  No need for shower trays, tiles or any other messy costly alternatives .

I’d say over the last 18 years we have spent thousands trying to repair bathrooms, walls and ceilings beneath both showers as a result of leaks .

We initially had both showers 800/800 and decided to go with 900mm quads which are a fabulous size and allow a lot more move-ability inside.  Both pods were purchased in Chadwicks .

Once installed the pod is so clean, ,sleek and sturdy it’s unreal and we’re actually annoyed that we didn’t do it years ago .

Our first bathroom was done in October 2020 and we were so impressed with the product we decided to swap out the other bathroom after yet again another leak in January 21 , Previous to this, we have tried all the usual solutions which included the raised shower tray, silicone seals etc.

I suppose what you really have to understand is how your house works in relation to seasonal changes and two story houses with timber joists will have floor movement in the upper levels, this is due to expansion and retraction of the joists which in turn raises and lowers the floors by millimetres, allowing shower trays to move to create the smallest of gaps allowing water to penetrate.

Thankfully this can’t happen to us anymore now that we have future proofed our showers upstairs thanks to Neptune Shower pods.
